Notice of 2026 X-AGI Conference
The 2026 X-AGI Conference is scheduled to be held at the Beijing Friendship Hotel from October 16 to 18, 2026. With the theme of "AI conference for the neXt Generation", this conference invites outstanding scholars and experts from domestic and foreign universities, research institutions, and industries to jointly explore the frontier issues and development directions of next-generation artificial intelligence research. The "X" symbolizes the unknown, intersection, and exploration. This conference features multiple thematic forums covering various frontier directions such as AI4Math, AI4Science, AI Infra, Agent, Agentic Post-training, AI+Education, AI+Finance, mathematical and computational foundations of AI, LLM evaluation and benchmarking, brain-computer interfaces, new progress in pre-training algorithms, foundations of large language models, diffusion model theory and inference algorithms, and machine learning theory.
The conference features a special Rising Stars Poster event, aiming to provide a high-quality platform for colleagues from all sectors of AI, including industry, academia, and research, especially young scholars, to showcase their research achievements and promote academic exchanges. This event aims to further stimulate innovation vitality and promote collaborative development between academia and industry.
The X-AGI Conference originated from the China R Conference, which has been long promoted by the Statistical Capital. This is the 19th edition of the conference. So far, the Statistical Capital has partnered with more than 20 universities and research institutions across the country, successfully hosting nearly 50 conferences in 14 cities nationwide, presenting nearly 2,000 speeches, and attracting over 500,000 participants both online and offline.
Building on the academic achievements of the China R Conference, FAIC, and previous X-AGI events, the 2026 X-AGI will further focus on "the next generation of AI researchers". We aim to establish an open, rigorous, and vibrant platform for young academic exchanges, where promising young researchers can not only hear about cutting-edge work but also showcase their own research, participate in discussions, and forge genuine academic connections, jointly exploring the next steps in artificial intelligence.
The 2026 X-AGI Conference is initiated by the Capital of Statistics and FAI (Fundamental Research on Artificial Intelligence), and jointly hosted by the Department of Statistics and Data Science at Tsinghua University, the Applied Statistical Science Research Center of Renmin University of China, the School of Statistics at Renmin University of China, and the Artificial Intelligence Branch of the China Business Statistics Association.
